Popularity

This is the 8th most popular campaign

In 2005 i began a campaign to reduce violence after my brother was brutally beaten to death. At 18 i collected 26000 signatures on a petition and took them to downing street and had a meeting at the home office. I took part in an Anne Frank exhibition where i gave a presentation and won an award for it and opened up the second part of my campaign. I now go to schools showing the same presentation and giving talks. This is having a great affect so far. I also maintain a website and am currently making a DVD for schools. It is hard and emotional work but it is worth it. I want to expand the campaign and take my message further, hopefully national. I need help to spread the message to others but this is hard without publicity and its impossible to get national coverage where i live.

You're doing a good job, Adam. Keep up the good work. As one of Taunton's Street Pastors I can say that we have a common passion to get violence off our streets. God bless you.

Dear Adam, well done for your campaign. My son of 13years was attached this year whilst doing his paperound. there was a group of 4 and whilst 3 of them stood back 1 decided to try and get my sons bike, he wouldnt let them have it hence ending up with a broken nose. I cant imagine how you ever coped with the knowledge Lloyd was dead, i was contacted 6.50 early that sat morning from my sons boss with the news he had been attacked i never ran so quick in my life not knowing what i would find. It still haunts me now but he is still here. So all the best to you and your family i just cant believe anyone would ever get over something so senseless. I live about ten minutes from where Lloyd was attacked and my eldest son and girlfriend knew all concerned and were shocked to hear of Lloyds death. A waste of such a lovely young mans life. Keep up the good work x Zelda.

A worthwhile cause, I experienced a severe beating outside my house by a gang of 12, its taken years to get over, I was very lucky i came out of it with only cuts and bruises, sadly Lloyd didnt, when I heard of Lloyds death it sent a shiver through my body as it was a stark reminder of what had happened to me a few years before. Adam - you have my support 100%, throughout all your campaigns.

This is really important and not to disrespect your campaign, but why don't some of the Battlefront campaigners join up where they are campaigning for something similar? Alex Rose has an excellent campaign against gun and knife violence, he also lost a friend to violence senseless crime. I know your friend was beaten to death but maybe you and Alex and the other campaigner on Battlefront who is doing something similar could join up against all this violence?
