'Cyber-bullying: You Are Not Alone'
My campaign is committed to raising awareness of cyber-bullying. The key to beating the cyber-bully is to provide the support and resources to enable victims not to feel trapped, alone and completely helpless. Too many people are the victims of cyber-bullying. The message I want to send to the victims is simply this - You Are Not Alone.
- Meeting Cabinet Minister, Tom Watson
- Meeting mentor, Michelle Acton Bond
- Meeting Holly and Max from Skins - who want to help make a viral about cyber-bullying
- Being interviewed by the Tyne Tees Gazette
- Let me know if cyber-bullying is an issue you have come across
- Send me your stories of how you or someone you knew was cyber-bullied
- Support my campaign by adding a comment here or on my Bebo page
- Let me know if you know a school that would like to do a workshop on cyber-bullying

I think what u r doing is really inspirational as loads of people get mentally affected and probably scarred for life and sometimes people even kill themselves over it...which it hink is just sad and pathetic for people to bully others to make themselves feel better.

@Sandra; Hi Sandra, please send me an E-mail to [email protected] so we can discuss what UK schools actively do to protect young people from the threat of not just Cyberbullying, but a huge range of internet threats. Kindest Regards, Al Henderson.

Hey Al, I live in Australia (but I'm English) and I have had a few issues with cyber bullying and viral emails (I have 11 year old twin girls) I have been trying to get the school to take some sort of responsibility for educating the kids about this sort of thing, but we are at least 15 years behind the UK with this one! They say that the school internet is monitored and net nannied to the max, so its not their problem, my argument is that 1. They don't give kids drugs, but they provide drug awareness programmes, 2, they generally dont have fires at school, but they have the fire brigade in to teach kids what to do in case of fire 3) they have the community police in to do the stranger danger stuff, none of which is directly a school issue. I think one thing that all our kids are likely to get caught up with is some sort of cyber issue, yet it is the one area they will not represent (even though we already have had one teacher suicide due to internet porn. Any pointers you could give me for what schools are doing in the UK would be good, and also any web sites that might help. Good luck with what you are doing - long overdue! Sandra

Hi what your are doing is amazing and a great idea. i used to be bullied because my mum was dead and it was horrilble so im going to support u all the way. Make sure bulling stop once and for all
Rory, 15 October 2009 10:08
hey ! :) i think that it is a very very good idea because people better listen to you because i think bullying and anti-cyberbullying is not accectable and the only reason they do it is because they are so SAD and mean they have nothing else to do and for the attencion ! they reason im commenting you is because i have been starting to watch the program and i find it very intresting and i get bullyed myself and i just try to walk away and ignor it !! so i hope every bully out gets it drilled in their thick skulls that there is no bullying no more !! hope it goes very well for you Savannah :) Scotland age - 12
