A definition of RACISM: An ideology based on the idea that humans can be separated into distinct racial groups and that these groups can be ranked on a hierarchy of intelligence, ability, morality. (http://bitbucket.icaap.org/dict.pl?alpha=R) I am White British, brown hair, blue eyes, average intelligence and I have no disability. Does that stop any of my actions being wrong? Does that give me an advantage over someone with blonde hair and green eyes? Racism usually is discrimination against race; usually know for 'whites' against 'blacks'. I want to open up the issues around racism, and clear up wrong ideas given by the media to the masses. I want everyone to be looked at as individuals, and NOT to be sectioned into cliques to suit the colour of their skin or beliefs. I want to show that we are all the same, despite what we look like.

I agree 100%! If only everyone could just stop focusing on what makes us different all the time, when it comes down to it, we are all the same. A person should only be judged by what the say and do, and as for skin colour..well, I've never understood, nor will I ever, why the fact that someones skin is darker, or lighter, or whatever - makes them any more superior or inferior to anyone else.

I think that this is a huge issue and this idea is an important one , I think that issues surrounding racism need to be addressed and that people need to get their heads around the fact that skin colour doesn't define who someone is, everyone is an individual what gives anyone the right to judge people. Your skin colour does not let you decide who should be hated on and you cant see your self as above other people just because of your skin, get over it, really there are so much more important things.

Hi, i'm Ryan from south wales and I completely agree with you. Racism is wrong!!! To help you with your campaign I have this saying to share with you :- "You don't judge a book by it's cover!, so why a person by their colour?!." I hope you take in this saying. Kind regards, Ryan.S Ryan Smith (10)

It's not just race, it's everything! The word 'Group'. I am getting sick of being catergorized into these groups. It's like if you like one thing then that's who you are - deal with it! e.g. if you like classical music, then you must be a dork. Well how about the fact that i also listen to the Kaiser Chiefs and Chris Brown. Or if someone dresses intirely in black they must be goth. They must hate the world and be turned down from jobs as they are unapproachable but what about that blond blue eyed boy who sits at the back of the class swaerng and upsetting everyone - IS he a better choice for that position.

I agree, but until the government and big business stop using forms that ask for your Ethnic origins and insisting on Ethnic diversity and 'positive' discrimination this will never happen.
