I'm not a ginge, but some of my best friend are. And do you know what? People - just random people - are horrible to them, just because of the colour of their hair. In this country, you can get protection from other people's prejudices for some things - if they make sexist, or racist comments, for example. This is one of the last prejudices that many people think is harmless. But it isn't. It's just as bad as any other and it's really hurtful and damaging to people on the receiving end. Bullying is wrong. And this is a form of bullying. Next time you're with someone who makes a joke about someone with red hair, tell them it's wrong and don't laugh along with the crowd.

Totally agree with this. I'm red-headed and I get it all the time. Once, when I was about 9/10 I got bullied by this one girl on my estate, so badly that she pushed me off my bike onto a pile of broken glass, then stole me bike. Because of my hair colour! Get a life. I used to hate it, now? I love it. My friends love it too, I'm the fiery red-head and it's cool and it's gorgeous and it's sexy. And if anyone shouts "Ginga" at the me in the street, I just reply "Yeah, but it caught your attention."
