I've noticed that everyone seems to be stuck in a rut. Yet, we're still turning down invitations to events deemed too dull or awkward to slide comfortably into our diaries, whilst continuing to complain about our monotonous lives. That's why I propose that we start accepting these invitations, just for the anecdotes. Start turning up to the supposedly terrible parties or to meet the friend you'd hoped you'd lost years ago. It'll go one of two ways: It'll be OK/ good/ excellent, OR it'll be painful, excruciating and terrible. It may be agonising at the time... but think of the anecdotes! You'll be the life and soul of future social events with the stories you'll be accumulating! Go on, you know you want to. Brace yourself for some appalling events... but some immense anecdotes!
Can't believe this is competing against campaigns against HIV and knife crime.
