There seems to be a real lack of respect in the world today - authority figures like parents, the police, teachers, medical workers are subjected to violence, insult and plain bad manners. If we are going to make britain a better place to live, if we are going to make a difference in gang culture, knife and gun crime and improve our standard of living we must recover our respect for people. If the police aren't respected they can't make a difference. If parent's aren't respected their children aren't going to listen. My campaign is an aim to remind people that everyone deserves respect and we must be respectful and mindful of others, particularly those who make a difference to our lives, in order to improve the country and the world we live in and make our society better.

i agree completely that respect should be enforced but to be honest, it should be enforced on both parties. speaking as a fifteen year old myself, i often find that no matter what i am doing if i am walking along a street i will get dirty looks because i'm a teenager. because ALL teenagers are thugs who like to vandalise things nowadays apparently. an we awl speek lyk dis tae coz we dinnae kno howtae spell neither dant we. it gets on pretty much everyone i knows nerves how we are demonised and treated like dirt and i think it has to stop and people have to respect each other no matter what job you have, how much money, what age, what race, how they look or their religion. we are all people, why do we treat each other any different?
