Popularity

This is the 7th most popular campaign

My campaign is to raise awareness of the terrible illness that I suffer with called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). It's a muscle wasting illness that affects mainly boys; it's a terminal life threatening condition that has a life expectancy of 18 - 20 years old. At age 10, boys are wheelchair bound and every muscle in the body eventually gets affected, boys rarely survive past (18 - 20) years because they have problems with their heart and the heart is a big muscle so when the heart becomes too weak it results in heart failure. So I have dedicated my life to help a Charity called Action Duchenne. I work voluntarily with them to raise awareness and funding for a cure or a treatment to improve quality of life! Having the disease is like being an innocent person on a death row sentence, never knowing when time is up.
